I am Isabella Tangorra, a psychologist with an M.Sc. from Maastricht University. Born to German-Italian parents and raised in Canada, I've spent much of my life moving between languages, countries, and identities. That experience shapes the way I work.
I currently live in the Netherlands and am completing a postgraduate psychotherapy specialisation in Germany. I work with adults from all walks of life — whether you're going through something specific or just feel like things aren't quite right and you're not sure why.
That depends on you.
The space we create together is shaped by you — your needs, your pace, and what feels most useful. Some people come looking for practical tools and strategies. Others need space to reflect, process, and be heard. Most need a bit of both, and that changes over time.

I offer one-on-one online counselling sessions in English and German. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place via video call, from wherever you are.Every client starts with a free 15-minute introductory call — a relaxed, no-commitment conversation to see whether we're a good fit and what you're looking for.Fee: 80€ /session
Sessions with me are self-funded and not covered by Dutch or German health insurance. This also means no long waiting lists, no referrals needed, and complete flexibility in how we work together.
Psychological counselling is a professional space to talk through what's going on — whether that's something specific you're struggling with, a pattern you keep running into, or a general sense that things aren't right. Together we look at what's happening, make sense of it, and work out what might help. It's collaborative, confidential, and entirely focused on you.
It's not:
A quick fix or a set number of sessions with a guaranteed outcome
A replacement for Medical treatment or clinical psychological/psychiatric care — if you're in crisis or need medication, I'll help you find the right support.
The same as talking to a friend — the dynamic is deliberately different, and that difference is what makes it useful
